1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the streak. mobile application or visiting streak.app (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Julius Petrik, a sole trader (živnostník) registered in the Slovak Republic, IČO: 09412859 ("streak.", "we", "us", or "our").

2. What streak. is

streak. is a personal discipline and habit-tracking application. It allows users to create recurring challenges, check in daily, run timed focus sessions, view streaks and statistics, and optionally join public challenges shared by other users.

streak. is explicitly not:

• A medical device, health monitor, or clinical tool
• A mental health or therapy application
• A fitness tracker (no GPS, heart rate, or health sensors in v1)
• A social network or messaging platform
• A to-do list or calendar
• A gamified rewards system (no XP, badges, levels, or in-app currency)

We make no guarantee that using streak. will produce any specific behavioural outcome or improvement. The app is a tool; results depend entirely on your own effort and consistency.

3. Account & eligibility

To use streak. you must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA without parental consent). By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your account with others. Notify us immediately at hello@streak.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may only hold one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits is prohibited and may result in termination of all associated accounts.

4. Free & Pro tiers

We reserve the right to adjust tier limits over time. Existing Pro subscribers will receive at least 30 days' notice before any reduction in features included in their paid tier.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Pro subscriptions are available as a monthly plan (€4.99 / month) or an annual plan (€39.99 / year, approximately €3.33/month). Prices are displayed inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law.

Payment processing. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's Services Agreement. Your card is billed at the start of each billing period.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You authorise us to charge your payment method on file at the then-current rate on each renewal date.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until then. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase, by email and in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Refunds. All sales are final unless required otherwise by applicable consumer protection law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund under such law, contact hello@streak.app.

Coupon codes. Discount codes are single-use, cannot be combined, and have no cash value. Expired codes will not be honoured.

6. AI features (Pro only)

Pro subscribers receive access to AI-generated content, including weekly discipline insights, personalised nudge copy, and streak recovery messages. This content is generated by Anthropic's Claude language model via our secure server-side integration — your API keys are never exposed to the client.

Important limitations:

• AI-generated insights are informational only. They are not professional advice of any kind (medical, psychological, coaching, legal, financial, or otherwise).
• Generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or unhelpful. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI outputs.
• Only anonymised, aggregated activity statistics are sent to the AI model — never your name, email, or any directly identifying information.

7. User content

You retain ownership of all content you create within streak. — challenge names, descriptions, notes, and public challenge listings ("User Content").

By marking a challenge as public, you grant streak. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display that challenge in the Discover feed and make it joinable by other users. You can archive or make it private at any time, which removes it from the Discover feed.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You warrant that it does not infringe any third-party rights and complies with Section 8 (Prohibited conduct) below.

8. Prohibited conduct

You must not use the Service to:

• Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person, entity, or streak. brand
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or our systems
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application (except where permitted by law)
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest data from the Service using automated means
• Create multiple accounts to bypass free-tier limits
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent

We reserve the right to remove any User Content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, without prior notice.

9. Intellectual property

All rights in the streak. application, website, brand, design, copy, and underlying technology are owned by or licensed to Julius Petrik (IČO: 09412859). Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or logos without our explicit written permission.

The streak. name, wordmark, and the red-line visual identity are proprietary. You may not use them in any way that implies endorsement or affiliation with streak.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We are not liable for any loss of data or progress caused by technical failures, provided we have taken reasonable steps to prevent such loss.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) €50.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination & account deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. On deletion:

• Your account enters a 30-day grace period during which it is inactive but recoverable. Contact us at hello@streak.app to reactivate.
• After 30 days, all your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
• Deleting your account cancels your Pro subscription. No refund is issued for the remaining period.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms. We may also terminate the Service entirely, with 30 days' notice where reasonably possible.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Slovak Republic, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have access to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, law, or our business practices. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the new Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
